Please come help celebrate the completed solar array installation on the Town's sand shed roof. It is expected that the 116 solar panels now covering the roof, nearly a 40 KW array, will produce enough electricity to off-set all of the Town's municipal electric use annually with locally produced electricity. Partnering with Vermont Independent Energy of Richmond and Green Mountain Power, we should see our municipal electric bill reduced by approximately 5%, with no cost to the Town.
Saturday, November 2, from noon until 2pm, there will be a cookout at the Recreation Field Pavilion to celebrate this achievement. There will be an official ribbon cutting ceremony at the Sand Shed at 1 pm. All are welcome so please come!
