Looks like this coming weekend might be nice, so I'm planning two trail walks to show folks the trail. Please come and bring your friends!

Meet at Bristol Recreation Field parking lot by HUB.
Saturday we'll walk the entire village segments of the Bristol Trail Network in a counter clockwise route: Old Dump (.5mi) - High School (1 mi) - Business Park Loop (.2 mi) - River Bend – Coffin (.8 mi) - Basin Street (.3 mi).

Sunday we'll walk the entire village segments of the Bristol Trail Network in a clockwise route: Basin Street (.3 mi) - Coffin - River Bend (.8 mi) - Business Park Loop (.2 mi) - High School (1 mi) - Old Dump (.5 mi).
Note that the trail takes about 90 minutes to walk (I'm allowing extra time to get from the parking area to the trailheads and back). You can join us for the whole route or step out after any of the segments. Most of the trail is pretty easy walking, but the River Bend section has some steep sections with loose soils and can be very slippery, boots advised.

Trail markers are on order and I hope to have them soon so you'll have a greater sense of confidence that you're on the right path when you're on the trail. Trailhead markers with maps will be going in next spring at the entrance to each section - A UVM class is working on improving the map for us so we'll have a user-friendly version to use on trailhead signs, our website, and a paper map. In the meantime, I do have a rough draft of a map I can email you if you would like.
