THE HEILAND CONSORT PRESENTS FUN MUSIC: A narrator will guide listeners along an imaginative musical journey that includes: an allegory about cows and population growth; the sounds of popcorn popping; the mischievous Greek demigod Pan and his pan pipes; and several other colorful and evocative pieces. The diverse program includes works by Canadian composer Tawnie Olson, Australian composer Padma Newsome, and American composers Valerie Coleman, Belinda Reynolds, Don Jamison, and Nico Muhly. Expect the unexpected: a solo for piccolo, a song or two, a 30-piece wind ensemble, and everything between.
Note please the earlier-than-usual start time, to encourage young attendees.
Advance tickets at (802) 728-9878 or www.chandler-arts.org, or at the box office before the fun begins.
