Are you looking for something to do this Friday night and also want to support a great cause?
Rutland County Restorative Justice Center (RCRJC) is hosting a Blues Concert fundraiser on October 25th. We will be having Grammy nominated blues musician, Guy Davis, performing at 7pm (doors open at 6). This will be at the Moose Club in downtown Rutland. There will be several tickets that will be given away by raffle:
- 4 tickets to see comedian Bill Engvall perform at the Paramounth Theatre in March 2020
- Massage from Rutland Rehab Massage
- half hour reading session by medium Laurie Coombs
Tickets for the raffle tickets are $5. Tickets for the concert are $20. You can purchase tickets for the event at the door or in advance by calling (802) 775-2479. All proceeds of this event go to RCRJC.
RCRJC is a nonprofit agency dedicated to reducing crime through a community-based approach. We offer a variety of services. Many of our participants are being diverted from the traditional legal system, where we work with them to repair the harm they have caused through their illegal activity and identify/address the underlying causes of criminal/delinquent behavior. We also offer:
- juvenile risk assessments
- risk assessments and treatment needs screenings for inmates lodged in correctional facilities that have been unable to post bail within 24 hours
- services for at-risk and truant youth
- screenings for youth cited civilly for underage marijuana or alcohol violation
- emotional intelligence curriculum in schools
