Angelica Care Collective Presents…
Community Herbal Workshop: FREE offering!
Honey Vinegars for Winter Health Wednesday October 30, 2019
Let's gather together to share stories & songs, and to create kitchen remedies to boost our personal and communal health this winter.
In honor of the traditions of Dr. Jarvis' 'honegar', four thieves vinegar, fire cider, oxymels, and switchel, we will be working with honey from Worcester (Bee Haven Honey Farm) and apple cider vinegar from South Washington (Honest to Goodness), along with herbs and roots from the garden.
We will be creating batches of spicy (or not so-spicy) honey vinegars, for participants to take home and to be part of the Angelica Care Kits distributed to community members and organizations.
Location: The Firehouse in Plainfield, VT (Accessibility info below.)
Time: Wednesday October 30; 6:00pm to 7:30pm
Cost: Free. Donations will go towards material costs and the Vermont Freedom Bail Fund.

Food: Light snacks & herbal tea provided. Feel free to bring food for you and/or food to share. Stay nourished & hydrated!
Who should attend: All are welcome. No childcare is provided, but children are welcome to participate with adult supervision, or play quietly.
What to bring: We will have materials available, but if possible please bring a knife, one or two mason jars (4oz or 8oz) with a non-metal lid, and a cutting board, it will help make the work go a little quicker.
Guiding the class: Members of the Angelica Care Collective, herbalists Dana Woodruff and Laura Brill of Plainfield, and Linda River Valente of Montpelier. The Angelica Care Collective organizes spirit-nourishing events, and trainings in the street medic tradition, skilling and upskilling to be the best neighbors we can.
Please let us know if you are able to attend so we can have enough supplies for everyone. Thank you! AngelicaCollective@gmail.com or call 802-917-2580
Accessibility: There are 3 steps in front of the building and 4 steps inside, with a rail at both set of stairs. The bathroom is quite small, an accessible bathroom with a ramp and baby-changing station is available in a building next door. The event is held in a public space and cannot be assured to be scent-free, but ask that participants refrain from wearing scents. Please be in touch with any questions or requests about the space.
