The October meeting of the Monkton Museum and Historical Society (MM&HS) will be another "Monkton photos and stories" evening. The meeting will be held on Monday, October 21st at 7:00 p.m. at the Monkton Town Hall. The meeting is open to everyone who is willing to share photos and/or stories of Monkton as well as those who are interested in Monkton's changing landscape or learning about Monkton's past from its residents.

Remember that the photos don't need to be late 1800s or early 1900s. We are 20 years into the twenty-first century, so photos that show how any area of Monkton has changed from its appearance today would be of interest. We are also very interested in interior building photos, such as in the Town Hall or one-room schoolhouses. Stories are very important too. What was life like in the Monkton of the 1940s, 1950s, 1960s, or 1970s? How have community events changed over the years? What have we gained and what have we lost? We hope to see you there!
