The element of fire was most important for ancient peoples survival. Fire kept them warm, cooked their food, and protected them from predators. The fire was a central hub for the community and councils were held there including ceremony, rites of passage and respite. Fire is still central to our lives today and will be our closest ally as winter envelopes us. When we engage with fire we connect with all our senses allowing the spirit of fire to inform and transform us.
There is much in this world that needs transforming. Our relationship to the Earth. Our relationship to our communities. Our relationship to our spirits, our bodies and to our ancestors. Open to the community for 4 nights of soup and ceremony, this fire is in service to the transformation that we are all experiencing now that we need to help us transform ourselves and our world. Join us for some or all of this beautiful gathering. All are welcome and your presence will matter.
10/28 - MEN'S GATHERING
Fire Opens at 3:00pm (All Welcome)
Ceremony starts at 5:00pm (Men & male identified people only)
The men will gather together in the spirit of transformation, to connect, share, listen and celebrate. Their blessings, prayers and hope will lay the foundation on which the fire will burn for the following days. This will be a sacred but informal space to connect to one another, nature and the elements with fellow men. This will be the first of regular series of gatherings for men at Rootstock Retreat.
10/29 - PRAYERS FOR THE MOTHER
Fire opens to public at 3:00pm (All Welcome)
Ceremony starts at 5:00pm (All Welcome)
It is the time foretold by the Ancients of the rise of the feminine in the Divine, a time when the Sacred Medicines of the Woman are called forth in every woman through dreams, visions and the presence of the Spirit for conscious development in daily living. We are all sacred custodians of the Earth and we'll gather together in circle to honor and cherish the grace, love and compassion of Our Mother and All Mothers. We're so blessed to welcome Katrina Corovos here to guide and hold this circle. Katrina has dedicated her life to the return of the rightful place of the feminine in the center of our lives, in divinity, and on our planet.
10/30 - FUTURE DREAMING
Fire opens to public at 3:00pm (All Welcome)
Ceremony starts at 5:00pm (All welcome)
We will voice the dreams we hold for our children, their children and forward seven generations. We will hold sacred the plants, animals, water, soil and life that animates our futures. We will imagine out loud the world we want to inhabit together and send our prayers up and out in all directions. We are so grateful to welcome Fearn Lickfield to guide and hold this ceremony. Fearn is teacher, administrator, director and chief of the Green Mountain Druid School and Order.
10/31 - ANCESTRAL HEALING & SAMHAIN FOREST DANCE
Fire opens to public at 3:00pm
Ceremony starts at 5:00pm (all welcome) Come dressed for ceremony & celebration.
When the veil is thin, we can trust that our hearts will be heard and our prayers will arrive to the ancestors who need them.
We are so excited to welcome our friend and teacher Sierra McFeeters, founder of Indigenous Roots Institute to hold and guide this ceremony. We will dance our love and our gratitude into the night and bless the forest floor and the Dragon Rock with our joy and commitment to heal together. Come dressed for ceremony and for celebration!
