Northfield Elementary fourth graders are celebrating Farm to School Month and Harvest time with a parade! As long as it is not raining, we will be parading from NES starting at 1:45 and walking down to The Common via Main Street and back up again via Union and Cross Streets. (This is not our UNICEF parade - that will be happening on the 31st). This culminating activity covers the AASL (American Association of School Libraries) standards of:
-Learners display curiosity and initiative by formulating questions about a personal interest or a curricular topic.
-Learners engage with new knowledge by following a process that includes devising and implementing a plan to fill knowledge gaps.
-Learners adapt, communicate, and exchange learning products with others in a cycle that includes acting on feedback to improve.
-Learners participate in an ongoing inquiry-based process by enacting new understanding through real-world connections.
Fingers crossed for no rain - we hope you can come watch!
