FILM SHOWING There will be a free short films screening and discussion with Carl Bucholt and Chris Anderson at Stone Valley Arts, in Poultney, on Sunday, Oct 20th, starting at 4 p.m. "HOPE for the Future: Improving Food Production and Realistic Solutions to Climate Change" includes two short films: Nourish: Food and Community, (26 minutes) illustrates how what we choose to eat - individually and as a society - has an effect around the world, and how making more wholesome choices can improve the health of the environment, our communities, and ourselves; and Joanna Macy and The Great Turning, (26 minutes) is the third major revolution of human existence after the agricultural and industrial revolutions. Macy says: “We are beginning to wake up, as from a millennia-long sleep, to a whole new relationship to our world, to ourselves and each other.” It is a call to take part in a new “great adventure” in order to help create a more life-sustaining world.
