The 7th Annual Southern Vermont Career EXPO will be held on Thursday October 17th, 2019. Representatives from over 40 area employers, employment agencies, and educational organizations will have booths set up at the Robert H. Gibson River Garden in downtown Brattleboro from 1:00pm to 5:00pm. Windham County residents of all ages and various employment needs will be able to connect with employers and learn about current full-time and part-time job opportunities or look ahead to explore career pathways and the training needed to pursue them. Childcare is provided!
This year's sponsors represent the diversity of organizations, industries, and stakeholders in the strength and vitality of the Southern Vermont workforce. They include Chroma Technology Corps, UNFI, Longfalls Paperboard, The Brattleboro Retreat, C&S Wholesale Grocers, and Bear Country 95.3FM.
In addition to these sponsors, the Southern Vermont Career Expo has partnered with the Winston Prouty Center, who will be providing free childcare to job-seekers who register on the Career Expo webpage.
The Career EXPO planning team includes representatives from Brattleboro Development Credit Corporation, Creative Workforce Solutions, Southeastern Vermont Community Action, Vermont Department of Labor, and VocRehab Vermont, Vermont Agency of Human Services, and the Vermont Student Assistance Corporation. These regional partners are collaboratively developing a local workforce system to serve Windham County, its employers, and job seekers.
