Volunteer Service Project

Past event
Oct 26, 2019, 9 to 11:30 AM

The Batten Kill Watershed CISMA* will be organizing a volunteer service day to remove fruiting vines of the non-native invasive plant: asiatic bittersweet. When introduced in an area, bittersweet aggressively takes over, covering and essentially strangling all other plants in its path, thus changing the ecosystem.

If you'd like to help out, please join us at Arlington Rec Park on 10/26, from 9am to 11:30am. Participants should wear long pants, long-sleeved shirt, boots, work gloves, & insect repellent, and are invited to take home a seedless wreath at the end.
