Progressive Party county organizing meeting Wednesday, October 16th in the history room of the Brattleboro library. The Progressive Party, which enjoys major party status, is the high bar in Vermont politics. Elected Progressives include seven House members, three Senators, the state Auditor and the Lieutenant Governor. Virtually all progressive legislation in Vermont (minimum wage, paid family leave, universal single payer health care et al) has either been introduced, sponsored and otherwise supported by the Progressive caucus.
