Third Thursday: Porches of North America

All those who love to while away afternoons on a favorite porch will find this architectural history discussion delightful as well as informative.

Thomas Visser, director of the University of Vermont Historic Preservation Program, will discuss his latest book, Porches of North America. His presentation will explore the history of this well-loved building feature, as well as many curious traditions, customs, and activities associated with porch life.
