15th Annual Wheels for Warmth!
Established in 2005, Wheels for Warmth has three goals:
- Supporting emergency heating assistance
- Providing safe, affordable tires
- Rescuing old tires from the waste stream
In fourteen years, Wheels for Warmth has raised more than $400,000 for emergency fuel assistance, sold more than 17,000 safe donated tires, and recycled more than 28,000 unsafe tires.
100% of proceeds from tire sales, disposal fees and contributions go directly to emergency heating programs at Capstone Community Action, Champlain Valley Office of Economic Opportunity (CVOEO), and BROC Community Action.
Tire Drop Off October 24 - 26, 2019 2:00 – 6:00 pm
On Thursday and Friday tires can be dropped off and inspected by DMV officials at Casella's on Avenue B, in Williston.
Usable tires can be donated for free; there is a $4 per tire fee for recycling unusable tires.
Tire Sale
The tire sale takes place Saturday from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Middlesex and Mendon. Over 3,000 people attend and participate in this event every year.
