Plans are in high gear for The White River Valley Players' 40th Anniversary Gala at Rochester's Pierce Hall this Saturday, October 12, from 6 to 10 pm. In a short 4 hours we'll celebrate 4 decades of bringing theater, music and community events to the valley. We'll start with a Cash Bar, catered by Huntington House, accompanied by Appetizers, and the Americana String Band music of Jake Wildwood and Todd Eberhardt. Festive decorations will set off the beautifully refinished floor of this historic hall.
Dinner buffet served from 6:45 – 7:45, with an inviting array of foods prepared by Chef John Hughes, including vegetarian and gluten-free options. Music for listening and dancing by The Glendon Ingalls Trio will entertain us throughout the evening, with Pop-Up Entertainment by The Gala Singers, Greg Ryan, The Three Sues, and vocalists Marsha Cassel, Steve Augustus and Christine Meagher. Expect the unexpected when our troupe of actors delivers their version of the history of the White River Valley Players! Anniversary cakes made by our valley's inspired bakers will sweeten your evening, as will a stroll down the Players' Memory Lane.
Get your tickets at The White River Credit Union in Rochester and Bethel ($25 adults, $12 for youth up to 18) or online at WhiteRiverValleyPlayers.org. At-the-door prices will be $30 and $15. A special dessert-and-entertainment-only ticket will be available at the door at 7:45 for $12. Come brighten your fall weekend with this once-in-a-decade event!
