You may have heard that Starksboro has a new charging station? Funded in the second round of State of Vermont Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment Grant Program, the credit-card operated station was installed behind the Town Offices in the Park and Ride lot. The grant money is derived from funds awarded to Vermont in the Volkswagen Mitigation settlement after the company violated the Clean Air Act. The State's goal is to have a fast charging station within 30 miles of every Vermonter.

This Thursday at 7pm. Duane Leffel presents his new book "Kicking Gas & Taking Charge". Part travelogue, part electric vehicle rally, Mr. Leffel presents an entertaining talk on caring about and achieving sustainability through personal actions. Mr. Leffel drove his Nissan LEAF from Charleston SC to San Francisco and set a new Guinness World Record. Refreshments provided - Free event. Library is on 116 and parking is behind the Town Offices.
