1) Tours of our world-class sawblade manufacturing facility

8:00 – 8:30 Our chance to show off a little. We want to show you how our people use CNC Technology and Robotics to produce world- class, super-thin, super-stiff, sawblades for use in woodworking plants around the world.

2) Coffee Break with Cider & Donuts - Chat with peers from around VT
8:30 – 8:45 (time for the staggered tour groups to catch up with each other)

3) Discussion of Apprenticeship Programs & Career Technical Education
Presentations by local high schools and colleges highlighting their particular strengths, the synergies they have with other schools, with industry, with government, and their visions for ways we can all work together to improve hands-on education in our area.

(There will also be followup tours for any who want a more in-depth look at our process)

Group discussion of different approaches to CTE. How do we move our workforce into the 21st Century? How do we give people better paying, more fulfilling jobs? How do we provide a good education for people who learn best with their hands? AND how do we work together to maximize our results?
