After a breath from September's rest...
Nightshade Kitchen returns!

Presenting:

Sam Moss
(www.sammoss.net)

Sam Moss is a musician living in Boston. His discography ranges from early recordings of instrumental folk guitar to more recent lyrically centered efforts, including 2018's Neon, which has been acclaimed by NPR and The Boston Globe. Since 2014 he has been regularly on tour, performing in all manner of venues: pubs, galleries, abandoned silos, living rooms, and the Newport Folk Festival. Moss is a recipient of fellowships from the MacDowell Colony and Marble House Project.

Cricket Blue

Laura Heaberlin and Taylor Smith are musicians, sure, but they're storytellers too. The eleven songs on their debut album Serotinalia feature a cast of characters right out of a short story collection. A listless grocery store clerk. A woman obsessed with her milkman. A harvest deity who is ritually murdered every fall. Oh, and a pair of scissors.

Rosu Lup
(www.rosulup.com)

Drawing on elements of orchestral instrumentation, electronic, ethereal, and folk sounds, Rosu Lup's music is as unique as the origin of their name -- which is Romanian for "red wolf." The duo's new album, The Ranger, works through difficult phases of life and finds them discovering hope along the way. Lead single "What You Need" premiered with Substream Magazine, with the outlet noting that it's "a deeply nuanced, beautiful track that will have listeners thinking about it for a long time."

~~~~~~
As always, we present this event with the belief that a piece of music is enriched when accompanied by a fine meal, that food is similarly enriched when accompanied by a song. The chefs spoon is stirred with the same care and calculation with which the fingers strum a chord, by which the hand pats the back. Finally, this event is made possible and affordable through resources gathered from our community, the voluntary hard work and support of ordinary people and the respect of all guests.
