Trick-Or-Treat for Unicef

The Vergennes Union Elementary School will be participating in our 3rd annual Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF change collection effort this Halloween. There are so many BIG problems in the world right now, and kids often feel there is little they can do to help. Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF helps empower kids to help other kids in a program that makes every penny count. Funds are used in the US and around the world to help children impacted by famine, war, extreme weather, and more. Items purchased with donated change include clean drinking water, medical & educational supplies, food, and warm blankets.

We'd like to invite you, our neighbors and friends, to be part of our community collection efforts. All you need to do is keep a little bowl of spare change next to your candy bowl on Halloween night (or in your trunk at the Legion's Trunk-or-Treat event prior to Halloween). Kids with orange UNICEF collection boxes will ask for spare change donations along with their Halloween goodies.

Thanks for helping our kids turn Scaring into Caring.
Regards,
