Need help with a Laptop or Phone? Come get one or fix your own at *Laboratory B Device Night III* - Night of the Reborn Netbook!
After a bit of cleanout, we're featuring the freshest and the best of the second-, third- and so on-hand devices that we have received. This Thursday, we'll be inviting members of the public to come and take a look at them, and for a fraction of their original price (mostly for parts cost) we'll set them up with an operating system, help you configure what you need, and sell them off. Prices will range from $10 - $50 for everything from Toshiba NB205's to Acer Chromebooks. We'll also be showing off and fixing a couple of drawing-capable laptop-tablets, with styluses included!
We will also be happy to advise on any questions about smartphones, particularly for those looking to buy or replace one, but who are wary of the tricks that cellular carriers usually play.
And of course, it wouldn't be a Laboratory B Electronics Night if we didn't open our doors for you if you have any other broken electronics or machines to get fixed!
(Laboratory B is a non-profit cooperative hackerspace located in the Old North End, at 12-22 North, near the intersection of Drew and North Street. Our main entrance is on the right-hand side of the building, on the second floor, up the wooden stairs.)
