The Burke Conservation Commission is hosting a free workshop on the Emerald Ash Borer, an invasive insect which is a major threat to ash trees. Matt Langlais, County Forester, will lead the discussion with a short presentation followed by plenty of time for questions and discussion. The goal of the workshop is to equip towns and landowners with information to decide on approaches to managing the impacts of the insect. Matt will discuss the story of EAB, Vermont's "slow the spread" efforts, and management strategies towns can employ in preparation for this uninvited guest.
Location: Burke Town Hall/Community Building at 212 School Street, West Burke.
Free and everyone welcome!
