Essex Community Players kicks off its 61st season with our fall production of "Inherit the Wind," opening Friday, October 11th.

A schoolteacher is arrested for teaching his students the theory of evolution. The resulting trial draws the greatest legal minds, and national attention, to this modest Southern town. Based on the "Scopes Monkey Trial" of 1925, this play is as timeless as the conflict it presents.
