Dear Friends and Neighbors,
This Sunday at 4 PM at the Clemmons Family Farm, our guest artist Alganesh Michael will give a community talk about the culture and culinary heritage of Eritrea, a country located next to Ethiopia in the Horn of Africa in East Africa. Come listen and have a taste of samples of her Eritrean cuisine. The tasting menu is curry chicken, spicy lentil, collard greens and injera. This is NOT a full meal. You will have small-but-satisfying samples of these foods to taste.
Joining us in the discussion will be Joe Buford, State Resource Conservationist with the US Department of Agriculture/Natural Resources Conservation Services who will talk about teff- the indigenous grain of Eritria and Ethiopia that the Clemmons Family Farm has been testing in its agricultural fields.
