Past event
Oct 6, 2019, 4 to 5:30 PM

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

This Sunday at 4 PM at the Clemmons Family Farm, our guest artist Alganesh Michael will give a community talk about the culture and culinary heritage of Eritrea, a country located next to Ethiopia in the Horn of Africa in East Africa. Come listen and have a taste of samples of her Eritrean cuisine. The tasting menu is curry chicken, spicy lentil, collard greens and injera. This is NOT a full meal. You will have small-but-satisfying samples of these foods to taste.

Joining us in the discussion will be Joe Buford, State Resource Conservationist with the US Department of Agriculture/Natural Resources Conservation Services who will talk about teff- the indigenous grain of Eritria and Ethiopia that the Clemmons Family Farm has been testing in its agricultural fields. Learn about our plans for farming teff and other foods of the African diaspora in our organic meadows and new hoop house!

The venue is the beautiful historic Barn House at 2122 Greenbush Road. This delicious cultural event is $10.00 Please learn more and sign up here: http://bit.ly/CFFTasteofEritrea

Welcome to the Farm!
