For the first event of its 2019-2020 season, the Norwich University Writers Series is pleased to welcome author Rick Bass. Kreitzberg Library Multipurpose Room, Norwich campus. Thursday, 10/10, 12:30 p.m. Free and open to the public.
Author of more than 30 books of fiction and nonfiction, Bass has received wide acclaim for his writing. His 2009 book _Why I Come West_ was a finalist for the National Book Award for Autobiography, and his 2016 collection _For a Little While: New and Selected Stories_ won the prestigious Story Prize. His most recent nonfiction book is _The Traveling Feast_ (2018). He has taught creative writing for over 30 years and is currently faculty in the University of Southern Maine's Stonecoast MFA program.
