Green Drinks is a "green gathering" for those who work, volunteer, or have a passion for promoting the environment, conservation, and sustainability. Join us at Harvey's on the first Thursday of every month to meet new people, learn about local green initiatives, and share what you've been working on. Green Drinks is in the Library Room at Harvey's on October 3, from 5-7 pm.

The traditional mingle and chat format will remain the same each month, but we will also highlight a special topic and have local experts on hand to informally chat about those topics with interested attendees.

OCTOBER'S FEATURED TOPIC: RECYCLING OUR WASTE: SARATOGA RECYCLES DAY & A NEW COMMUNITY COMPOSTING INITIATIVE

Representatives from Sustainable Saratoga will be on hand to answer all of your questions about our upcoming Saratoga Recycles Day event coming up on Oct 26, from 9 am — 2 pm. There will also be a short introduction to a new collaboration between Pitney Meadows Community Farm and Sustainable Saratoga to offer community composting for food scraps. Soon you will be able to drop off your food scraps to be composted at the Pitney Meadows Farm. Come learn all about this exciting new community project.

Details: Cash bar. Happy Hour runs until 6:30 p.m. with 1/2 priced drafts, wines, and cocktails. Non-alcoholic drinks and food may also be ordered.
