6th ANNUAL SUKKOT ON THE FARM :
WEAVING CONNECTIONS, strengthening our shelters of peace
SATURDAY OCTOBER 19TH AND SUNDAY OCTOBER 20TH
MORETOWN, VT
In an increasingly individualistic culture, Sukkot, the Jewish harvest festival, reminds us of the power of face to face connection. This year's theme recognizes the universal need for shelters of peace and brings together a multi generational community for song, storytelling, harvest and teachings.
MULTIGENERATIONAL MEANING MAKING The 6th annual Sukkot on the Farm inspires participants to harvest not just food but each precious moment in time. The program's full weekend schedule moves fluidly between small and whole group activities through workshops, arts and crafts, self- guided art walks exploring ways to strengthen the shelters of peace in our personal, local and global communities. Our program features teachings from local mindfulness teachers, regional Rabbis, comedians, herbalists, youth environmental educators and local musicians.
SATURDAY NIGHT STORYTELLING Exploring the theme of shelter, our multi faceted program presents participants with chances to connect over story, song, ceremony while enjoying stargazing provided by the Vermont Astronomy Club and warmed by drink and fire.
SUNDAY HARVEST CELEBRATION Fun for the whole family: harvest activities, teaching, arts and crafts, band and community building around our hearth and shelter.
