"My Little Red File" Worskshop - 10/19 & 26 from 9:30-11AM
at Charlotte Congregational Church
Presenter: Peg Maffitt

Peg Maffitt has been involved in hospice and end of life care education for 30 years. It is a cause that fills her heart and has changed how she lives her life. One of the gifts she's received, is that she lives everyday in the present, because no one knows when our time will be up! Her experiences and awareness of the fragility of life has moved her to create what she calls, "my little red file."

This file is in case, God forbid, she gets hit by a bus or contracts an acute terminal illness. As anyone can appreciate this would toss her family into total chaos at such a vulnerable time. Peg says this: "to me, having My Little Red File completed and up to date is my "final love gift" to my family - my husband has his very own red file and I find great comfort knowing it is there!"

Her "my little red file," contains everything important which her family would need to know immediately, including:
• completed Advance Directive
• Last Will and Testament
• birth certificate
• social security card
• passwords
• etc. (you get the picture!)

On 10/19 and 26, Peg will be offering two 1.5 hour long workshops (9:30-11am) at Charlotte Congregational Church (403 Church Hill Rd.) During these sessions, Peg will help participants to create an index for your own Little Red File. The second session on 10/26 is optional and for those who seek more tailored instruction.

Cost is free and light snacks will be provided. If you require childcare please indicate that when registering. To register, contact Rita Murphy at 425-3176 or charlotteucc@gmavt.net
