A catered dinner will be served afterward we will have speakers on what it means to be a LION. The suggested donation for the meal is $10.00. A regular monthly business meeting will start at 7 pm. Please let us know you will be attending the meal so we can plan accordingly. We have served our Valley towns of Newfane, Brookline, Townshend, Jamaica and Wardsboro through our club's initiatives of vision, hunger, environment, higher education and diabetes awareness.
Most recently we have provided for free new prescription eyeglasses, recycle eyeglasses to help fund "River Blindness", food drives to help replenish the food pantries, created & hosted the West River Valley Green Up Day Celebration, provided $3,000 in scholarships to graduating seniors from Leland & Gray and so much more for fifty years. The Lions Club traditional had been a men's club, but have been accepting women into their club for many years. All residents of the service towns 18 years and older are invited to join. Membership is for local, state, country and international clubs.
