WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 2 from 5:30 to 7:30 PM: A Charlotte Seed Library Event
Mara Welton, Slow Food USA State Governor of Vermont and former owner of Half Pint Farm, shares her garden wisdom and decade-long experience with Slow Food. Join us for a harvest potluck and conversation about the history of the global and local Slow Food movement. Mara will share the stories of some of Vermont's heirloom seeds and breeds that are on the Slow Food Ark of Taste catalog of rare heirloom varieties. Come celebrate the good, clean and fair work of Slow Food while sharing the harvest potluck-style! Please bring a dish to share. Label it with main ingredients and if it incorporates any heirloom variety vegetables or fruit. Include a serving utensil. Beverages and reusable plates, cutlery and glasses will be provided. Please RSVP to Margaret Woodruff (425-3864 or margaret@charlottepubliclibrary.org), as seating is limited. See you there!
