Meet Tippy the Rescue Dog Saturday, September 28th, 3 p.m. at the Vermont Book Shop, 38 Main St., Middlebury, VT 802-388-2061 Presented in partnership with Homeward Bound, Addison County's Humane Society.
We'll begin the afternoon at 3 with a meet-and-greet with Tippy! If you've ever loved a rescue dog, if you've ever loved ANY dog, you'll love Tippy!
Then, at about 3:15, author Mary Beth Stevens will read her picture book, Tippy Finds a Home, a true story of a little rescue dog who is all alone in the world and searching for his forever home. It takes some doing, but Tippy has faith, and eventually he finds a family that is perfect for him. With beautiful illustrations by Susan Spellman, Tippy's story will touch your heart!
Homeward Bound, Addison County's Humane Society, a community-centered shelter that supports the human-animal bond through compassionate care, adoption, education, and advocacy will have educational information about rescue pets and will also be collecting donations for the center. They will have promotional items available to purchase with proceeds benefiting their work.
