Ukulele Mele
(“Mele” - Hawaiian word for song)
Join other Burlington-area Ukulele lovers in a group to learn and play the Ukulele together; Starting March 30th - we'll meet twice a month at the Fletcher Free Library on Sunday afternoons, generally from 4:30 – 5:30 pm
NOTE*- The first gathering, Sunday, March 30th, will start earlier - at 4:00 pm - to accommodate a showing of an inspiring Ukulele documentary film entitled Mighty Uke. We'll play our first song together after the film!
Level: All levels
Ages: Adults and kids 10 and up.
Bring your own Uke.
Starting with 2-3 chord songs, simple visual prompts will assist in learning a few songs together each session.
PLUS: Once a month we'll have a Ukulele Mele Open Mic from 5:30 – 6:00 pm. A wide range of styles and genres are encouraged, from folk and rock ukulele to jazz, improv, multi-instrument duets, ukulele accompanied poetry, and other wild and wacky ukulele acts still to be created.

Sundays, May 11th and May 25th – 4:30 pm
