Calling all those concerned about the climate crisis! The first of a series of localized climate policy discussions around the state will be held at the Richmond Free Library next Wednesday, October 2nd from 7-9pm. Hosted by the Richmond Climate Action Committee, the meeting will be an open forum discussion on climate priorities for the 2020 legislative session, with local state representatives, including Representatives Marcia Gardner and George Till, as well as Senators Chris Pearson and Ginny Lyons there to answer questions.
Addressing the climate crisis is quickly rising to the top of the priority list for the upcoming session, but in order to carry on the energy sparked by last week's Climate Strikes held all over the state, Vermonters have to continue to show up and demand bold climate action from their elected officials. So join us in Richmond Wednesday, October 2nd to learn more about important climate policies like the Global Warming Solutions Act and a 100% Renewable Energy Standard, and find out what you can do during the coming legislative session to help get the bills passed.
