Hilton Park Plays Roots Music at Tinmouth's Old Firehouse this Friday September 27th
Hilton Park was an unknown over here in Vermont when they came to the Tinmouth Old Firehouse a few years ago. They brought the house down, and the Old Firehouse Crew is pleased to have them back on Friday September 27 at 7:30. Hailing from Southern Maine, the award-winning band Hilton Park is known throughout the Northeastern U.S. for earthy, emotionally expressive and superbly crafted acoustic Americana, Folk & Blues. Every song tells a story, and there's a story behind every song.
Combining veteran musical & songwriting skill with youthful enthusiasm, father/son team Bruce and Conor Hilton and family friend Gregg Pannier explore intimate musical textures, digging into the roots of American Blues, Folk Rock and Country, while maintaining a contemporary feel of their own. Hilton Park's stage show includes up to 10 acoustic instruments between Bruce & Conor, plus Gregg's piano. Six and 12 string guitars, dobro, mandolin, bouzouki, Weissenborn, dulcimer and others make the stage look like an exotic guitar boutique. But it's the band's soaring three part harmonies that capture the audience's breath, telling timeless stories that touch people's souls.
Concert begins at 7:30 PM. Doors open at 7 PM. No-charge raffle at intermission for free tickets for future concerts. The Old Firehouse is at 9 Mountain View Road at the intersection of Vermont 140 and Mountain View Road, next to the new Firehouse in the heart of downtown Tinmouth. Suggested donation of $10 to $15; 90% to the musicians; 10% to the Town for maintenance of the Old Firehouse. Local groups provide refreshments. Your donations support their activities.
