Finding Hope with Marjorie Ryerson

Past event
Oct 5, 2019, 9:30 AM to 12 PM

In 2019, we humans find ourselves increasingly overwhelmed by a staggering numbers of dire elements, such as climate change; the imminent extinction—according to the United Nations—of a million animal and insect species; the destruction of the Brazilian rain forest, corruption at the top levels of government and corporations; increasing violence, hatred, racism, and nationalism; mass shootings, the opioid crisis, and much, much more.  Please join us for the Finding Hope classes to be held at Chandler Center for the Arts on Main St. in Randolph each of the four Saturdays in October, from 9:30-12:00 noon. Class participants will discuss in depth and will write about the issues of greatest concern to each of them, with the goal of finding community as well as a path forward. Randolph writer and teacher Marjorie Ryerson will teach these free classes, assisted by writer and performer Steve Augustus. They welcome all creative additions, each class, from others. Participants are to bring their preferred writing implements to each class—from paper and pen to battery-powered laptops.

You can register at the Chandler website.
