"The Color of Law" Discussion Thursday

Past event
Sep 26, 2019, 7 to 8:30 PM

Please join us this Thursday for a conversation about the book "The Color of Law," which is about the role that the government played in segregating America. Even if you haven't had a chance to read the book, the conversation will be a valuable way to learn more about this history and discuss the issue with Mayor Weinberger and a knowledgeable group of panelists, whose experiences range from fighting housing discrimination at the Vermont Human Rights Commission (Bor Yang), researching space and power at the University of Vermont (Pablo Bose), creating affordable housing at the Champlain Housing Trust (Michael Monte), and engaging in housing issues as a community member (Zoraya Hightower). This event is the seventh meeting of the Mayor's Book Group, which is a partnership between the Mayor's Office and the University of Vermont Humanities Center.
