The Shelburne Selectboard is hosting an Economic Development Summit at the newly renovated Pierson Library on the evening of September 24th from 7 - 9 PM. All community members are encouraged to join us for a conversation with a cross-section of the Shelburne and regional business communities who have specific interests and expertise in promoting economic development. We are seeking community input and collaboration to envision and strategize ways to promote long-term economic growth in Shelburne.
The discussion will be a round-table format, intended to surface issues and challenges that the community believes need attention, and to also brainstorm ways to address them. The focus of the forum will be business retention in Shelburne. The evening is intended to be informal, conversational and constructive; to learn from those with experience in the field, to share strategies and suggestions, and to come away with concrete actions and tactics that the Selectboard can consider implementing to further the economic development objectives and recommended actions outlined in Shelburne's Comprehensive Plan.
We're very excited about our panelists and for the opportunity to host this event at the new Pierson Library community room. We hope you can join us next Tuesday evening. And please help spread the word to all those in the community who might be interested in the topic.
