Brush Brook Community Farm - Sept. Update and Work Day

Past event
Sep 29, 2019, 2 to 7 PM

Greetings Friends and Neighbors,

Frost in the pasture this week offers a reminder that the season has begun winding its way towards winter. And yet, the apples are dripping from the hedgerow trees and carpeting the ground, and garden tomatoes continue to ripen in the warm afternoon sun. And so, for our September Work Day we will be preserving some of this abundance as tomato sauce, apple sauce and apple butter to serve at the Community Dinners this winter. These dinners will be offered at the Town Hall the first Sunday of the month, November through April. Each month, the tables will be provisioned with good food from this valley, the meal offered as a gift, without charge. Please join us for one of the feasts!
