The Henry Sheldon Museum invites you to take an afternoon cruise along the beautiful shores of Lake Champlain on Sunday, October 6. The cruise departs from Basin Harbor Marina in Vergennes at 3:00 p.m. Enjoy a complimentary beverage (wine, beer, or soda) as we take in the extraordinary fall scenery. Passengers are welcome to bring binoculars and cameras onboard – we may see a bald eagle nest or spot an osprey on Otter Creek!
Thomas Rogers from The Nature Conservancy will join us on the cruise and present a brief talk about how climate change has affected fish and wildlife in Vermont. The talk is offered in conjunction with the Sheldon's current exhibit of whimsical folk art ceramics and paintings by Dana Simson, "The Animals Are Innocent."
The cost is $50/person and includes one complimentary beverage and a 10% off coupon to the Red Mill Restaurant at Basin Harbor. Space is limited, advanced reservations are required. You may purchase your tickets by calling the Henry Sheldon Museum at 802-388-2117 or by visiting henrysheldonmuseum.org/shop/afternoon-cruise-lake-champlain/. No refunds will be made unless the cruise is cancelled due to inclement weather. Refunds will be charged a $10 processing fee.
Proceeds benefit the Sheldon Museum's education programs.
