Wildlife Habitat Workshop and Cell Phone Photo Contest

Past event
Sep 29, 2019, 1 to 4 PM

Sunday, September 29th 1:00pm-4:00pm at the Beard barn, 1601 Barnes Hill Rd, Waterbury Center

Waterbury Land Initiative and MakerSphere are sponsoring this free, family friendly event for all ages (rain or shine). Come learn about the Shutesville Hill Wildlife Corridor right in our backyard, and bring a cell phone to photograph it! Hear from people who work in forestry, land conservation, animal sciences and the arts to learn about forest habitats and wildlife crossings, how to take a great photo on your cell phone and much more. We'll have slides from local wildlife cameras, interactive mapping activities and a fun photo lesson before heading out for a nature walk to explore some of the Shutesville corridor. Enter your photo in the cell phone photo contest for elementary, middle/high school and adult age groups. Photo contest entries and category winners will be on display in October at MakerSphere Ceramic and Handcrafting Studios at Seminary Arts.
