On Saturday September 28 from 9:30 until noon (rain date 9/29) please join the Charlotte Land Trust and the Charlotte Park and Wildlife Refuge Committee for a FREE event at the beautiful Charlotte Park and Wildlife Refuge (formerly known as the Demeter Land). This is a great chance to discover and explore the level ridge line, and take in the fantastic view, without hiking up from the Greenbush Road entrance!

We're offering: HORSE-DRAWN WAGON rides through the fields along the ridge line
SCAVENGER HUNT for children ages 3-12
BIRD WALKS for children 6+, and separate for adults
TREE IDENTIFICATION
INFORMATION about wildlife and their habitats
THORP BARN tour
oh yes, REFRESHMENTS

VERY IMPORTANT: Transportation to/from the event will be provided by bus from the Charlotte School to the Thorp Barn entrance off Route 7. All events will take place along the top of the Park. There is no public access or parking off Route 7. The bus will run continuously starting at the School at 9:15. You may park and walk up from the Greenbush Road entrance, but allow for a 20-30 minute hike. Please no bikes or dogs!

ALSO IMPORTANT: Please help us plan by pre-registering: go to the Town web site and click on the RECREATION tab. Registration forms are available at Town Hall, and at the bus on the day of the event.

See you at the Park!
