Music for a Sunday Afternoon: Ensemble Pamplemousse

Past event
Sep 22, 2019, 3 PM

Marlboro College is pleased to present Ensemble Pamplemousse, an innovative composer/performer collective combining chamber music, popular music, theater, instrument building, electronics, and video. Ensemble members have training in disparate musical fields, and their compositions aggregate each member's unique virtuosic talents into extraordinary magical moments. For their Marlboro appearance, Ensemble Pamplemousse brings a program of six brand new works written by each of the collective's members, David Broome, Natacha Diels, Bryan Jacobs, Jessie Marino, Weston Olencki, and Andrew Greenwald, an artist-in-residence at Marlboro College. Expect absurdist theater, re-mappings of classical repertoire, electromechanical inventions, arcane tuning systems, and more. This concert is free and open to the public in Ragle Hall, Serkin Center for the Performing Arts. For more information go to http://www.marlboro.edu/events.
