Save the date: Jane Jackson will conduct a one day workshop at Treleven Farm, suitable for all ages and levels of skill. Years ago, Jane and Lauraine Warfield spent many pleasant hours teaching people - especially participants of the Parent/Child Center- how to sew. The joys, sorrows, laughter and grief shared during those quilting sessions lingers on in the fabric of our county. Lauraine passed on two years ago, leaving quite a collection of unfinished projects. Jane is returning to Vermont to share techniques she has learned for incorporating old memories into new keepsake quilts. The Saturday workshop includes a light breakfast and lunch and has limited space. Suggested donation of $ 20.00 to cover the cost of supplies.
The Friday evening prior to the workshop (October 18, 7:00 - 8:30) all who quilted with Lauraine or Jane are invited to share tea, coffee, and their personal memories. Free.
End of Life Services and Treleven, Inc. are co-sponsors of both events. Contact Cheryl.W.Mitchell@ gmail.com for more information.
