Action Figures from natural materials? Epic! On Sunday, September 22, 2019 from 10am to 2 pm in Railroad Park, the Cambridge Valley Farmers Market is pleased to welcome Bliss MacIntosh to the Maker Tent with a hands-on craft activity for the whole family.

Bliss White McIntosh is a basket weaver and educator who has shared her craft in schools and other settings for many years. Her baskets are made entirely from materials she harvests by hand from local trees, and the finished pieces are durable and intended to be used for work. In addition to baskets, Bliss also creates enchanting angels and other figures from corn husks, and adorned with corn silk, milkweed pods and other natural materials. As part of her demonstration, Bliss will offer Maker Tent visitors the opportunity to create their own Husk Heroes from locally grown corn and other materials.
