Everyone concerned about the firearms issue should be at this meeting to see how it will effect your personal property rights. The Selectboard will most likely vote on this ordinance which will lead to a final hearing soon.

Monday's meeting will be at 7 p.m. at Essex High School.

After the packet went out, the Town received some additional comments from the Town Attorney. Attached are ordinance 6.08 (Firearms) and the shooting range notification form with the suggested edits:

• 6.08.010 – Thoughts on dates for allowing hunting at parks
• 6.08.040 – Proposed language around violations of failing to submit a notification form
• Notification form – Updated to match the ordinance language of posting the perimeter of the range (not the property)

These items will also be brought to the meeting on Monday.
