5-Town Friends of the Arts special gathering on Sun. March 30th 4-6:30

Past event
Mar 30, 2014, 4 to 6:30 PM

All community members are invited to a special gathering at Howden Hall on Sunday, March 30th from 4:00 – 6:30 celebrating the arts and culture in our five towns. 5-Town Friends of the Arts will have refreshments, music by David and Nate Gusakov, Poetry by Buzz Kuhns, Story-telling by Jim Stapleton, and a recognition of Mt Abe high school art teacher Elise Cleary for her amazing contribution to the arts. This is a chance to recognize a wonderful professional while she is in the middle of her teacher career.

There will also be a silent auction of 5 beautifully hand-painted breakfast trays, which would be a special, one-of-a-kind Mother’s Day’s gift, enjoyed and appreciated for many years to come. The participating artists are Matlak Mayforth, Cynthia Kling, Vera Ryersbach, Barbara Moffi, and Lisa Stevens. Many thanks to their contribution.

This is also a chance to view the Bristol Historical Society Exhibit and the completed renovations of Howden Hall. It is a lovely historic building brought back to life through the efforts of many. Both Bristol Historical Society and Howden Hall are affiliates that operate under the umbrella of 5-Town Friends of the Arts.

The event directly follows an open house for the Bristol Historical Society from 2:00 – 4:00 on the same day. Please come and celebrate the arts and culture in our five towns.
