In their only Vermont appearance, Tennessee music producer/engineer Jim Gaines and his wife, blues performer/songwriter Sandy Carroll will offer a living history of blues, rock, and soul that extends from the 1960s to today. Gaines has been behind classic rock and blues albums by Stevie Ray Vaughan, Santana, Journey, Steve Miller, Bruce Hornsby, Huey Lewis and the News, George Thorogood, Blues Traveler, and more.
As a songwriter, Carroll has written hits for Stax legend Albert King and blues great Luther Allison, among many others.
WORKSHOP // Carroll and Gaines will give back to back songwriting and producing workshops at 9:45 and 10:45 a.m. Thursday, March 27 in 134 McCarthy. Open to the public.
