The next meeting of the Northeast Prevention Coalition will be held at the local office of the Vermont Department of Health located at 107 Eastern Ave. in St. Johnsbury. The Northeast Prevention Coalition, which is a subcommittee of the Drug Abuse Resistance Team (DART), represents communities in Caledonia and southern Essex counties in support of healthy choices and is dedicated to preventing substance use, misuse, and abuse for all ages. Because a coalition's success depends on the involvement of all community members, Community coalitions use a variety of strategic activities to effectively build a community's capacity to bring about population-level change.
Who is involved?
Parents, students, schools, civic and volunteer organizations, youth serving organizations, law enforcement, government, business, faith organizations, health organizations, media, and other organizations that address substance misuse.
Our Vision
We are Northeast Kingdom Communities in support of healthy choices.
Our Mission
We come together to support prevention and promote education for all ages concerning substance use, misuse, and abuse.
