On September 20th, millions of people around the world will walk out of their homes, schools, and workplaces, filling the streets to go on strike for the climate. Bennington will join the global call to action; the town and the college will work together to demand action from our elected officials. We demand that Bennington declare a climate emergency and act accordingly.

On the day of the strike, Bennington students, faculty, administration, and staff will gather at the flagpole on campus at 11 am to start walking, biking, and shuttling into town. By 1 pm, the Town of Bennington and Bennington College will come together at People's Park for singing, drumming, poetry, and a lineup of speakers. At 2 pm, we will march to the Four Corners to make our voices and demands heard.

The Global Climate Strike in Bennington Vermont will meet at the Peoples Park at noon and will then move to the 4-corners (intersection of 7 and 9).
