Please Note: This talk will be given at our sister parish -- Ascension Parish in Georgia!

Lecture Series: What is Catholicism? -- Each Thursday @ 7pm from October 2019 through April 2020, Ascension Catholic Church in Georgia will be hosting a talk exploring some topic of the Catholic faith. Lectures are low stress and designed for both the person who knows nothing as well as the person who knows quite a lot. Lectures will be around 40-50 minutes. There will be time for questions afterwards. Talks will be given by Anthony Rosselli, PhD cand.

In 2014, 21% of Vermonters said they did not believe in God. That's more than any other state by far. But what do modern atheists mean when they reject the existence of "God"? Do they mean the same thing by "God" that Jews and Christians mean by God? This first week we'll be talking about what Christians mean when they say the first line of the Nicene Creed: "I believe in God." What exactly is God?
