Capital City Concerts and the Friends of the Vermont State House presents the second concert in a new mini-series of consecutive FREE Friday noon "Meditation concerts" in the Cedar Creek Room of the Vermont State House. The free concerts give listeners the opportunity to experience world-class performances in a reflective way through 30-minute meditations to live music. The doors will open at noon, and audience members will find a seat and begin a period of silent meditation. Music will start at 12:15 and last for 30 minutes. This Friday's performer is Vermont's own Grammy-nominated flutist Karen Kevra, the founder and artistic director of Capital City Concerts. Her concert will include short works of Telemann, Debussy Katherine Hoover, Jindřich Feld, Carl Nielsen, and others.
